The Fashion Show


Student Night:
Friday 19th March. Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 8pm. This will be a visual feast of the latest fashions modelled by thirty striking Edinburgh students, and will feature a magic show by Mr Drummond Money-Coutts and the chance to win some fabulous prizes in the live raffle...
 
VIP Night:
Saturday 20th March. This will be a lavish, black tie affair, with drinks being served from 7pm and a sumptuous three course meal with wine being served at 8pm. Along with the fashion show itself, Mr Drummond Money-Coutts will be entertaining guests, and there will be a live and silent auction which includes one-of-a-kind prizes...
 

Student and VIP After Parties:


The Friday After Party this year will be held at Edinburgh’s most glamorous nightclub: Opal Lounge. Guests will be greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne, and there will be an extended, one-off cocktail and drinks menu with the sales of certain drinks going straight to ECFS.
For the VIP night, we are moving the party to Hawke & Hunter, where ECFS guests and models will be taking over The Green Room. The Cheek, fresh from London Fashion Week, will be performing an intimate set exclusively for ECFS 2010.

ECFS 2010 Launch Party: 'The Beautiful and the Damned' February 8th 



To celebrate the official launch of ECFS 2010 come and join The Beautiful and the Damned for a night of fun and frivolity in Cabaret Voltaire! The Launch Party is sure to be one of the term's biggest music events and most importantly you'll be supporting our three chosen charities!

There will be a selection of DJs there including Dickie Drysdale, Beefy and Wolfjazz who have dominated the Edinburgh music scene for a long time, and have played with some of the biggest names: Bookasahde, Felix Da Housecat, Erol Alkan, Scratch Perverts, London Electricity and Utah Saints. Beefy and Wolfjazz played at T in the Park last year.

The Launch Party will be held on Monday 8 February. Doors are 10pm and tickets cost £6 or £8 on the door.
Tickets will be on sale:
  • outside the library Friday 5 February and Monday 8 February between 10am and 2pm
  • at the JMC Sunday 7 February between 5pm and 7pm

3. Lithograph by David Roberts
   David Roberts R.A (Scottish 1796-1864.) A first edition lithograph with modern hand colouring entitled "Gates of the Metwalis, Cairo" (Half plate number 217.) This series of lithographs were engraved by Louis Haghe following Robert's return from the Middle East in 1840 and were published between 1842 and 1849.
