Every hour of every day, Marie Curie Cancer Care is making a real difference to the lives of people with cancer and other life limiting illnesses. Our nurses work right across the country giving people the choice to be nursed in their own homes, surrounded by the things they hold most dear. Other patients are cared for in one of our 10 hospices including the Marie Curie Hospice at Fairmilehead in Edinburgh where we are dedicated to providing the best quality of life for patients and their families.
This year, Marie Curie Nurses will care for approximately 27,000 terminally ill patients in the community and at our hospices, completely free of charge. However it will cost us over £115 million to do this across the UK and £3.8 million alone to run the Edinburgh Hospice. Marie Curie Cancer Care relies on the generosity of local residents and companies to help continue its vital work. Our services are always free but without your support we can not continue our care for our patients and their families.
For every family we help there’s another we can’t. That’s why we are working to make choice a reality for all with your help. Thank you so much for your suppport.

PoppyScotland
Poppyscotland is Scotland’s leading veteran’s charity, ensuring that ex-service personnel and their families get the support that many urgently need as they adjust to life on civvy street.
Whether someone is struggling to cope with a catastrophic battlefield injury, or living with emotional scars that haunt them everyday, Poppyscotland is there, providing immediate and practical assistance. Poppyscotland also helps to fund a number of specialist veteran’s charities, including Erskine and Combat Stress.
While we’re perhaps best known for the iconic Scottish Poppy Appeal each November, the demand for our services comes 365 days a year. Sadly, as a result of recent conflicts, that demand is increasing every day, but we can make a real difference.
